From scenic drives to outdoor recreation, there are still plenty of ways you can have fun in the fall. Here are three fun activities you can drive to from Medford, OR.

TouVelle State Recreation Site

TouVelle State Recreation Site is about 20 minutes from downtown Medford and offers a number of different activities for visitors to enjoy. The park features more than 1,000 acres of land with five miles of hiking trails and 6 miles of mountain bike trails, as well as an 18-hole disc golf course and an archery range.

Valley of the Rogue State Park

The Rogue River, located in Southern Oregon, is one of the most visited rivers in the United States. The river runs through a beautiful canyon that makes for a great day trip for outdoor enthusiasts. Valley of the Rogue State Park is located about an hour from Medford and offers plenty of fun activities for families and friends. You can enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, and more!

The park has two campgrounds with tent sites available for overnight stays or day use only. There are also several cabins available if you would like to bring your own RV. For those who want to explore further along the river, there is also an RV dump station available on-site at the park’s entrance gate.

Casey State Recreation Site

Casey State Recreation Site is perfect for the whole family. Located just 20 minutes from Medford, it’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon. Pack up your car and head to this scenic park that offers everything from water sports to fishing. You can enjoy a picnic at the beach. If you prefer something more active rent a paddleboat or Jet Ski from the concession stand.

You can also bring your own watercraft to Casey Lake and launch them from there. There are plenty of hiking trails at this park, as well as several short nature walks that will give you an up-close look at forest plants and wildlife species like lizards, snakes, and birds.
