Replacing the old V-6 engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo that offers more power and better fuel economy. It delivers 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The LS, LT, and RS trims are available with all-wheel drive for enhanced traction and stability in slippery conditions.
The Z71 comes standard with an exclusive dual-clutch all-wheel-drive system for when your family adventures take you off the beaten path. It also offers a skid plate, tow hooks, off-road suspension, 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a terrain driving mode. When properly configured, the Traverse has a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
Advanced Technology
The driver-centric Traverse now features a standard 11-inch digital instrument display and a massive 17-7-inch center touchscreen. The easy-to-use infotainment system includes Google Built-In, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, voice recognition, and a six-speaker audio system with satellite radio. The RS adds a 10-speaker Bose sound system.
