Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Equinox EV comes in two trims: the LT and RS. Both feature thin LED light strips across the front and flowing body lines that look great from any angle. The LT rides on 19-inch wheels, while the RS steps things up with a black roof and sportier styling. Both options offer two-tone roof combos — Summit White or Black — paired with colors such as Riptide Blue Metallic, Red Hot, or Galaxy Gray Metallic. Other nice touches include flush door handles, welcome lighting as you approach, and roof rails that are standard on the RS or available on the LT.
Engine (Power)
You've got two power choices with this SUV. Front-wheel-drive models use a single motor outputting 220 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. If you need extra grip, the all-wheel-drive setup uses dual motors for 300 horsepower and 355 pound-feet of torque, handling winter roads and quick merges with ease.
Both run on an 85 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery. This tough power cell works well in hot summers and cold winters alike, delivering steady power and connecting easily to fast chargers when you need a quick top-up.
Performance
FWD models reach 60 mph in 7.7 seconds, while AWD versions do it in just 5.8 seconds. Real-world testing shows the Equinox EV getting about 260 miles of actual highway range in normal conditions. FWD models get EPA ratings of 319 miles per charge and 108 MPGe combined. AWD versions still offer 285 miles range and 96 MPGe combined. Taking a road trip? DC fast charging adds 70 miles in just 10 minutes at a 150 kW station.
With 1,500 pounds of towing capacity, you can haul jet skis, a small camper, or gear for weekend fun. This makes going electric practical rather than limiting, especially for active families who need their vehicles to handle various activities.
Interior
Both models feature a 17.7-inch center touchscreen and an 11-inch digital gauge display. The LT has cloth seats with manual adjustments, while the RS upgrades to Evotex seats. The Convenience Package II includes ventilated front seats and a six-way power passenger seat.
With 41.7 inches front and 38 inches rear legroom, this SUV fits five adults comfortably. RS models add a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel. Cargo space measures 26.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 57.2 cubic feet with seats folded. The dual-height cargo floor offers flat loading or deeper storage options.
Safety Features
Every Equinox EV includes the Chevy Safety Assist package with six key features: forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam auto high beams. Together, these create a safety net that works constantly as you drive.
Standard intersection emergency braking, side bicyclist alert, and reverse automatic braking improve safety in the city. Add the Comfort and Active Safety 2 Package for a 360-degree camera system. Highway driving gets easier with optional Super Cruise hands-free technology and adaptive cruise control that help reduce driver fatigue on long trips.
