2021 GMC Sierra 1500
If you're looking for a pickup truck that seamlessly transitions from work to play, check out the 2021 Sierra 1500. It's sturdy enough to get the job done, but it doesn't have any unwanted bulk that could weigh you down. Plus, it gives you lots of fun features in a sleek and sporty package. With its impressive performance, head-turning design, and luxurious amenities, the Sierra 1500 is a truck that you'll never get tired of driving.
Trim Levels
The Sierra 1500 lineup features five fantastic trim levels, each with a design that blends elegance and athleticism. On the SLE and SLT, you'll find GMC's signature logo-emblazoned grille, distinctive C-shaped headlights, and dazzling chrome accents. GMC's exclusive CornerStep bumper and six-function MultiPro tailgate make it easier to tackle any task, from the job site to the campsite. Thanks to class-leading truck-bed volume, you'll never have to leave any of your gear behind. The Elevation trim adds even more practical fixtures, such as tow hooks and LED cargo box lighting. This trim also features 20-inch black-finished wheels.
Whether it's traveling down a busy city street or venturing off-road, the AT4 always stands out with its black chrome accents and mud-terrain Wrangler DuraTrac tires. As the top trim level in the Sierra 1500 family, the Denali gets premium headlights, MultiPro assist steps, and polished dual exhaust outlets. Add the CarbonPro Package, and you'll enjoy the automotive industry's first carbon-fiber cargo bed.
Engine
The Sierra 1500 is just as powerful as it is stylish. The base engine is a 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder that generates 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. This impressive output gives the Sierra 1500 a 9,200-pound towing capacity. For even more power, the AT4 and Denali offer a 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 that puts out 383 pound-feet of torque. With the V-8 under its hood, the Sierra 1500 can tow 11,200 pounds. If you need even more towing capacity, a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 is also available. It produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, enabling the Sierra 1500 to tow 11,800 pounds. The final engine in the lineup is a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel capable of putting out 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The diesel option gives the Sierra 1500 a 9,300-pound towing capacity.
Performance
If you equip your Sierra 1500 with the four-cylinder engine, you can take advantage of an eight-speed automatic transmission. The V-8 and turbo-diesel engines team up with a 10-speed automatic. Both systems deliver seamless gear shifts and optimal handling. With the AutoTrac transfer case, you can select between four-wheel-drive and two-wheel-drive functionality.
Interior
The Sierra 1500 can seat up to six, depending on which seating configuration you choose. All models give you premium seating surfaces along with class-leading headroom and legroom. With the GMC Infotainment System, you can stream music and audiobooks, which are even more enjoyable, thanks to the cabin's sound-absorbing technology that blocks outside noises.
Safety Features
While the Sierra 1500 is fun to drive, it's also serious about safety. A forward-collision alert teams up with automatic emergency braking to detect potential collisions and give you extra braking support. You can also take advantage of teen driver technology, advanced cruise control, and parking assistance.
