2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV signals a dramatic shift in pickup truck evolution. Built from scratch using GM's groundbreaking Ultium platform, this electric powerhouse brings game-changing capabilities to the truck market. It delivers impressive range, powerful performance, and innovative storage solutions while maintaining the utility and toughness that define what a true pickup truck should be. If you're a truck fan craving an electric option, you no longer need to worry about compromising capability for environmental benefits.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Silverado EV has three trims. The Work Truck rides on 18-inch steel wheels with all-season blackwall tires that grip well when the weather turns foul. The LT features 18-inch aluminum wheels, while the RST stands out with bold 24-inch wheels that turn heads.
The RST boasts the Sidewinder mode: four-wheel steering that allows 20-mph diagonal movement. This trim's adaptive air suspension adjusts to different terrains and loads. The LT and RST feature a practical 5-foot-11-inch bed that balances cargo space with manageable dimensions.
Engine (Power)
The Chevrolet Silverado electric truck dual-motor setup brings serious power and all-wheel-drive capability. The LT delivers 645 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque, a fantasy for electric trucks until recently. The RST packs 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, beating gas trucks and most performance cars on today's roads. The Work Truck offers 510 horsepower and, depending on the range, 490 or 580 pound-feet of torque.
A 205 kWh battery built into GM's Ultium platform powers the RST. The system spreads weight evenly while making the whole chassis stronger. You get handling that surprises for a truck this size, plus range for workday hauls and weekend escapes.
Performance
Hit the RST's Wide Open Watts mode, and you'll reach 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. The range also impresses: 460 miles for the RST EV truck and 492 miles for the Work Truck. The Chevrolet Silverado EV isn't just for local driving.
Charging happens fast, with a 350 kW peak DC fast charge and 198 kW average rates (10-90%). The Work Truck handles 12,500 pounds of towing and has a 1,800-pound payload capacity. It's built for serious jobs, not just weekend adventures. The Silverado EV towing capacity and smooth ride make it a top contender among GM electric trucks
Interior
The Silverado EV gives passengers plenty of room: 44.8 inches up front and 44.3 inches in the back. Tech varies by model. The Work Truck gets an 11.3-inch touch screen with 8-inch gauge clusters, while the LT and RST boast a 17.7-inch display with 11-inch digital clusters. All screens sit where you can see them easily without blocking your view.
You'll find smart storage everywhere, including a 10.7 cubic-foot front trunk for tools or groceries and a center console with over 7 gallons of capacity. The RST features a fixed glass roof flooding the cabin with natural light. It's a fresh approach to truck interiors that doesn't sacrifice the practicality truck owners need.
Safety Features
Every Silverado EV includes HD surround vision and trailer view camera tech as standard. The full visibility provided avoids accidents and eases trailer hookups. You also get automated emergency braking and adaptive cruise control without checking extra boxes.
The safety package also includes lane-keep assist, forward collision alert, and self-adjusting IntelliBeam headlights. Optional Super Cruise hands-free driving manages lane changes on compatible highways. It's a complete system protecting everyone in and around your truck.
