2023 GMC Acadia
The GMC Acadia is a three-row SUV that gives families an upscale vehicle for cruising around town and long road trips. For the 2023 model year, the Acadia carries over without any significant changes. It does have a new wrapped steering wheel for all trims except the base trim and three new exterior colors. Here's a look at some of the details for the 2023 GMC Acadia.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level SLE comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side exterior mirrors, LED headlights, and keyless entry. Just a step up to the SLT adds roof rails, a hands-free liftgate, and LED fog lights. The AT4 comes with some off-road extras, including all-terrain tires and special 17-inch wheels. It also has black exterior trim elements. The upscale Denali has 20-inch wheels and a unique front grille. It also offers the Ultimate Package with a two-panel panoramic sunroof and the tow package with hitch guidance.
Engine (Power)
Power for the SLE and SLT comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 228 horsepower. The AT4 and Denali get a stronger 3.6-liter V-6 with 310 horsepower. GMC pairs both engines with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard with all trims except the AT4, which comes with all-wheel drive. If you want the all-wheel drive system for any of the other trims, it's available as an option.
Performance
The base engine provides the Acadia with plenty of power, but the V-6's extra horses help with quicker acceleration and give it more towing capabilities. The ride stays smooth on the highway, which is further enhanced by the adaptive suspension that is offered as an option for the Denali trim when equipped with all-wheel drive and the Ultimate Package. When equipped with the available tow package, the Acadia can pull up to 4,000 pounds.
Interior
There's room for up to seven people in the Acadia. It comes standard with tri-zone automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, and push-button start. The SLT upgrades the cabin with leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Step up to the Denali for ventilated front seats and heated rear seats as well as driver's seat memory settings.
Technology in the Acadia starts with an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, five USB ports, and a six-speaker stereo. You'll get a household-style power outlet in the SLT, while the Denaii adds a digital instrument cluster and wireless charging.
Safety Features
Every 2023 GMC Acadia has a full suite of active driver aids. The GMC Pro Safety Plus bundle has a forward collision warning system, automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist, and lane departure warning. It also includes a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert. The AT4 adds hill descent control and hill hold assist to help with off-road conditions, and the Denali offers the Technology Package with a 360-degree surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, a digital rearview mirror, and an upgraded version of the automatic braking system.
